This reindeer design was inspired by the swooping swirling lines of early folk art. Some years ago I completed an MA in the History of Art at Falmouth College of Arts and fell in love with the work of artists such as Alfred Wallis Wassily Kandinsky I loved the seemingly simple naivety of their lines and have tried to capture some of that in my designs.
Finding just the fabric for this reindeer was important as it had to reflect the deep warm reds and soft russets of autumn.
